Default Getting back into the game

I have a question, it is probably more of an opinion question.

I quit a while ago, but would like to get back into the game. (mainly for the weekend, but I probably will before chapter 2 as well if I do not stay the whole time) I had problems finding people to play with and join my guild to begin with, and I would like an honest opinion if I should try and rejoin now, or wait until chapter 2 to meet the new people that will come with the game. I know that most people are already in guilds or dont want to be and its making me hesitant to start now because I do not think I would be able to find many people to play with. (I enjoy playing with people consistantly, either a guildmate or friend)

So I wrote a lot to ask a little, so to sum it up: Would it be easier to find a consistant list of friends or people to join my guild now, or when chapter 2 comes out?

I don't think it makes any difference whether you wait or not. Plenty of people are still starting the game, and plenty of experienced players are still starting new characters, so you should have no trouble finding people to play with. If you're looking to join a guild, there's another forum on this website where you can look through listings and such. If you're talking about starting a guild of your own, yes, there are few players out there who don't belong to a guild, but there are many players out there who are in a guild they don't feel any particular attachment to. They might join just to have a cape, for example, or join expecting to find a group of people to play with only to find that the guild has no organization. It's just going to take a little time to find the people who are looking for exactly what you are, regardless of whether you get back into the game now or when Factions is released.

Heh, funny coincidence... I just decided today to get back into GW as well after about a 3 month break from very casual play.

My main when I quit was/is a Mo/W12... my question is if there is anything I should know about the game that might've changed recently? I read about the expansion coming out, but other than that I'm completely in the dark. I was never in an active guild, but I'm interested in joining one if I can find one that is mature and decent.

...So as a Healing/Protection Mo/W, are there any little bits of advice anyone can give someone just getting back into the game?

healing seed:-P
and beat the game

The thing about my situation is that I have all maxed characters, and i think spam recruiting in ascalon is lame...

I think Ill try playing again for a few weeks, but with everyone being in the same place when Factions comes out may make it that much easier...

Thank you for your opinion

Just ask if you can add a nice person you meet to your friends list.

I do it all the time, and when i want to do something i mostly whisper the lot of em. I hardly ever do it over guild chat unless i want to pvp. And when we're a man short for pvping it's usually me who messages mates to ask if they wanna be guests in our guild.

It's good to have a long friends list ^^

We had a pretty big influx of new members around Christmas so there are quite a few new players out there. If your guild is empty then why not just join one? Ours is PvE if that is your focus, give me a shout or check out our forum.

We have a long list of level 20's as well so if you want to do end game PvE stuff there are others willing and able to do so.
